As the plane landed I was honestly scared after all he told me about the way they live. I'm not a very helpful person when it comes to cooking or carrying heavy things. When we landed John said "I hope you like Duk Payue" I got up from my seat and I got my bag and walked out of the plane a bunch of kids came up to us and started to sing a song. When we finally got to his hut I pulled the curtain back and looked in, there was a blanket on the ground with a pillow on top of it, a bamboo table next to it with a rock bowl and what looked like a thick rock stick "home sweet home" john said, "its looks cozy" i said out of breath from the long walk. I walked in the hut and put my stuff down, "I miss this place" John said with a huge grin on his face, I couldn't help but smile to. "Come on it's time for dinner" John said, he grabbed my hand and took me outside. I looked outside to see many people playing and cooking dinner. "This is my wife and my two children" john said holding his wife's hand, I smiled and waved. We ate Black beans and fresh fruit with really good meat. After that we went to bed, It was a cold night and the ground was uncomfortable but i was so tired that i fell right asleep. When I woke up it was very early but everyone was up and John was singing A song called Kakiye Paruei That Lam Tungwar sings
"Good morning" I said to John "Sbah al khair" he replied "what does that mean?' I asked "Good morning" "cool" I said "guess what?" john said very excitedly. "We are seeing Lam Tungwar in concert!!" "COOL!!!, Um... Who's that?" i replied. "He wrote the song i was singing" john said laughing. We went to the concert a little later in the day and had a blast and they played that song he was singing. The next day I had to go home I had a bunch of fun.
When the plane came and he had to bored it i gave him a big hug and we said good bye, I whispered something in his ear he smiled thats from wicked he said his eyes wide. "Here" i said. i gave him a CD of Wicked. you want to know what i whispered to him, I've changed for good.
When i woke up i noticed that Emmanule wasn't awake so i turned on the computer. A ad popped up "Buy tickets to Wicked at the Granada Theater" Hmm i thought we could go see a play. When Emmanule woke up i asked him if he wanted to go. He said yes. So we went to wicked (my fav. play) and he loved it. he said there singing voices were so good and he loved the story in general. After we saw the play we went to Los Arroyos and got some enchiladas with rice and beans.
Emmanule and i went to six flags hurricane harbor!!! He was so nervous and excited about it he couldn't contain him self. We went on all the rides except death plungde we both said it looked scary. He said his favorite ride was the treasure hunt and mine was super plunged it was fun and scary. We both got matching tee shirts that say hurricane habor. It was super fun and wet!
Today me and Emmanule were going to go shopping at la cumbra plaza. first we went to Macy's and tried on all the most pricey outfits. Ties, dresses, pants, skirts, shirts, jewelry, shoes and more! It was so fun! Than when we were down we went to Cold stones for some cake batter and vanilla ice cream.
It was Thanksgiving dinner and we were going to help my dad with the cooking. He said he liked my dad and we made some really good food! When we ate we joined hands and said what we were thankful for. Emmaule said that he was greatful for being here. we went to bed full and tired.
Today we to the beach again but we decited to stay longer and i was going to teach him how to surf! He fell many times and he said at least he was in the water he said he had alot of fun too.
Then after we
went surfing we went for a beach walk he said that all the shells were very pretty and he would only take one back home.
The morning Emmanule woke up he was so tired that he asked me if we could just stay home all day. I was tired too so i said yes. He wanted to go out side and smell the flowers in the back yard. So we put our shoes on and ran out side. He asked me what smelled best and i told him lavender. I picked some and put it under his nose, He told me it smelled nice. then we ran in side because it started raining. Then Katy Perry came on, on the radio. I sang along than the power went out, I screamed, but Emmanule didn't he said there wasn't power in his country so he was used to no power, I lit a candle and then when it blew out i told him to touch it he said it feels hot and gooy but he liked the feeling.
The first day that Emmanuel came he was starving, he didn't eat much food on the plane becuase he didint like it. So we went to In n out and got two number 1s. When he took the first bite he smiled and put his burger down so i could see his face it was covered in cheese!! I laughed and wiped his face with a napkin. We spent the afternoon at the mission and learned about santa barbara. Then we went to the beach to catch the beatiful sunset on the pier.
